Garden Vibes 1500x1500“Garden Vibes” by The Song Gardeners

Song review by New Age CD and New Age Notes Radio Staff

There is always something special about The Song Gardeners musical offerings. The superb and delightful vocal harmonies between Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn are surpassed by none.  As well, their lyrics are always fresh and engaging and tend to bring one back to a good and grounded center, which I think is what “gardening” is all about if you see it that way.

The Song Gardeners, the dynamic singer/songwriter duo of Dunn and Gospe, often joined by James Butler on synth, bass, percussion and David Scheibner on guitars, percussion, synths, are at the forefront of what we call the “New Age Pop” genre. They specialize in creating well-crafted, contemporary chill, pop, groove songs which carry positive and empowering messages for humanity.

Their new song, “Garden Vibes,” was written by Corrie Dunn one bright, sunny day while sitting in her yard enjoying her garden and the fruits of her labors. Here, The Song Gardeners return to their “roots,” as the naming of their band pertains to their mutual love for gardening.

“Garden Vibes” begins with harmonious a cappella singing from both Corrie and Mary as they communicate the beauty of the garden through their music and lyrics:

“In the sunlight,
breathing sweet mother nature
Watching the seedlings thrive
Feeling dirt in my hands
Hear the bees humming
Digging these garden vibes. . .”

A smooth, warm, and mellow rock vibe continues and builds with help from David Scheibner on guitars, James Butler on synths and percussion. Corrie Dunn takes the keys and lead vocals, and Mary Gospe shines like the brilliant sun on background vocals.

Each verse transports us easily into Corrie’s lovely, abundant garden, where we can feel her magical garden vibes wrapping us in love. Without a doubt, “Garden Vibes” gives listeners a pleasant 4-minute escape from whatever ails you.
