“Meditation Music” is deeply peaceful to the psyche on every level. Very effective for healing and coming back into alignment. – Dyan Garris

Joss Jaffe is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer, with a passion for creating music that relaxes the body, soothes the mind, and facilitates a deep state of peace.

Joss has traveled the world performing at large scale yoga events and transformational festivals including Bhaktifest, Wanderlust, Beloved, Lightning in a Bottle, Lucidity, Yoga Journal Conference, Korea Yoga Conference, Thailand Yoga and Dance Festival as well as many others. His new album “Meditation Music” is released by “Be Why Music,” a Los Angeles based New Age record label that has won the New Age Grammy® 2 times in the last 3 years.

Taking a scientific approach to the creation of “Meditation Music,” implementing binaural beats, isochronic tones (a pulsing tone that is turned on and off rapidly), and blending the slowly moving melodies of each track with the sounds of nature, along with acoustic instruments and synthesizers, I would say that he has succeeded with what he set out to create here.  “Meditation Music” is deeply peaceful to the psyche on every level.

The album is 7 tracks of tranquil serenity, just perfect for meditation, beginning with the almost 6 minute “Deep Delta.” I have listened to and created myself a lot of meditation music, and, personally, I sometimes find binaural beats and isochronic tones to be over-stimulating. This is just the right amount of isochronic tones in this track, at the right pulse and frequency, so as not to be overwhelming, but quite relaxing, which obviously is the goal.

Following is “Dream State,” which is exactly that; dreamy. Not meandering or particularly “spacey,” this takes you exactly where you want to be in meditation: Deeply relaxed, at peace, feeling one with “All That Is.” Very nicely done. The 10 minute “Temple Clouds” is expansive, and we can feel ourselves meditating – floating, yet also deeply grounded and connected – in an open temple, perhaps observing fluffy white clouds passing by overhead.

“Deep Theta” takes us deeper and deeper into the meditative state with its binaural beats. This is where we want our brainwaves to be for effective meditation. Again, not overdone. Just the right amount.

“Morning Sun Drops” feels like a delicate awakening. “Aura Massage” is a pulsating caress with its isochronic tones. The album closes out with the soothing, 8 minute “Zen Forest.” This feels like our heart chakra is gently and effortlessly opening. And. . .we are back at the ranch, ready to face the day.

It’s worth noting that 2 of the tracks, “Deep Delta” and “Deep Theta” are tuned to 432hz. Music based on 432Hz is thought to transmit beneficial healing energy, because it is a pure tone of mathematics, fundamental to nature; essentially corresponding to the musical pitch of the universe. And that is exactly the point. Beautifully done.
