Single Review by New Age CD & New Age Notes Radio Staff

“I can’t think of a more perfect way to wrap up this strange year of tumult and transformation than with this peaceful, angelic vocal single by Kimberly Haynes, ‘Grant Us Peace.’ It’s 5-1/2 minutes of total serenity where you can finally feel yourself again.” – Dyan Garris, New Age CD

As the saying goes, “As above, so below” or as well, “What is occurring on the outside affects us on the inside” too. “Grant Us Peace” began as a personal prayer for balance, centering, and inner peace, and evolved into a song in the studio with David Vito Gregoli, who not only co-produced the song with Kimberly, but also performs here on acoustic guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, percussion, and mandolin.

Kimberly’s vocal is outstanding, ultra-peaceful, and soul-soothing. Wrapped inside the body of the song is also the Latin prayer, “Dona Nobis Pacem,” which translates to “Grant Us Peace.”

“In this moment I surrender all I think I know. . .”

We have certainly had to do a whole lot of that lately.

In addition to Kimberly’s heavenly, healing vocal, she and Jeralyn Glass both perform on singing bowls, which are a rich and wonderful addition to the piece on so many levels. One can gently feel their heart and other chakras opening and softly undulating in an elegant dance of harmony.

Certainly timely, Kimberly effortlessly pours her immense love out onto a weary world. Healing balm for the spirit, this is perfection in every single way.
