Shambhu (pronounced ‘SHOHM-boo’), a renowned jazz guitarist and more, transforms stillness and silence into calming, relaxing sounds.
He is known for blending the beautiful sounds of acoustic guitar with New Age and elements of jazz music to create tranquil, mesmerizing music.
His work has been described as relaxing and meditative, and has been used by listeners to set the mood for an ideal environment that is perfect for relaxation, yoga, massage, healing modalities, and meditation.
Shambhu worked with Grammy® winning record producer Will Ackerman on his 2010 debut album, “Sacred Love,” which reached #1 on the ZMR (Zone Music Reporter) New Age music chart. Shambhu’s second album, “Dreaming of Now,” also produced with Will Ackerman, reached #2 on ZMR, and won Best Contemporary Instrumental Album at the ZMR Music Awards (2014). His third release, “Soothe,” reached #11 on ZMR and two songs from that album were accepted into rotation on SiriusXM.
Additionally, Shambhu played and/or recorded with Carlos Santana, Paul McCandless, Eugene Friesen, Tony Levin, Jeff Haynes, Ravichandra Kulur, George Brooks, Premik Russell Tubbs, Grammy® Award-winning producer/drummer Narada Michael Walden, and E-street saxist Clarence Clemons, among others.
Shambhu’s new album is, “Acoustic Oasis,” releasing October 6, 2023, and is our Featured Album.
