thumbnail devara sunrise coverThunderBeat is a multiple award-winning international recording artist who resides in Sedona, Arizona. She is a performer, author, teacher, inspirational speaker, certified Reiki master, and a pioneer in color-light-sound therapy. She studied at the prestigious Eastman School of Music and has researched sound frequency therapy on her own since 1993.

She received her transformational music and ancient healing knowledge from her world travels to sacred sites. She has initiated sound activation ceremonies for peace, awakening, and empowerment in the pyramids and ancient temples of Egypt, Mount Sinai, the vortices of Sedona Arizona, Mayan lands, and several powerful Native American sites throughout the United States.

ThunderBeat is a Native American of Choctaw and Shawnee heritage. The name “ThunderBeat” was given to her by Native American elders because of her abilities to heal and awaken through the power of sound.

Among her numerous awards and nominations, she won the prestigious “Beacon of Light Award” in 2005, for her inspiration, creativity, wisdom, compassion, and service to the community and the world.

The fascinating track, “Sunrise,” begins with gentle and plaintive flute, which evokes the stillness of the early morning and calls deeply to our spirit to arise and open to the new day. As you might imagine, ThunderBeat definitely has the beat, and the drums come in at just the right time to further draw us into the intrigue.

Gradually, the music builds, incorporating layers of electronic elements, rhythmic patterns, and organic instrumentation. The combination of synthesized sounds, atmospheric textures, and ethereal voices, along with the hypnotic, pulsating beat, creates a sense of anticipation, mirroring the gradual illumination of the sky as the sun rises on the horizon.

As “Sunrise” progresses, Thunderbeat skillfully introduces an array of sonic elements, seamlessly weaving together diverse musical influences. The composition effortlessly blends elements of electronic music with classical and World music flavors.

Layered on top of the rhythmic foundations are enchanting melodies played by various instruments. The interplay between these melodies creates a sense of movement and progression, akin to the ever-changing hues of the sky during sunrise and beyond. The result is a rich tapestry of sound that transcends boundaries and takes the listener on a transformative journey not soon forgotten. What a great song. Be sure to check out the entire album as well.
