Todd Mosby is a renowned, award-winning musician and composer known for his unique and innovative approach to the guitar and his captivating compositions. His genre defying music is a fusion of various styles, including jazz, classical, Indian, folk, and world, to name a few, creating a sound that is both relaxing and “feel good.” Shining through all his music is his passion about sharing his love of music with others and his belief that music has the power to bring people together and heal the soul.
One of Todd’s signature techniques is his use of the Imrat guitar. This instrument is a hybrid between a sitar and a guitar, and Todd is one of the few musicians in the world who has mastered its unique sound. With this instrument, he creates intricate and complex melodies that result in an evocative sensory experience that transports the listener to different parts of the world. He’s what we might call, a “musical landscape artist.” And he does it beyond very well.
His new single, “Georgia’s World,” is a tribute to artist Georgia O’Keefe’s life in New Mexico. The engaging piece is from his upcoming album, “Land of Enchantment,” and features a light and graceful bossa-nova groove and the late jazz guitarist, Wes Montgomery’s style of octave guitar licks.
